2X, 1998

2X is a video installation made for two projectors.

The images on the right hand side of the projection are taken from old photographs, and the video clips on the left present contemporary life. I was looking for the imagery similarities in the two different worlds in order to understand the history; the life I have not been part of, but that has been shown to me through old photographs.
